Kubili House is launching on December 1st 2026! Under new ownership, and new management, this stunning safari house is currently undergoing an exciting expansion plan. Now a 7 bedroom house, Kubili is still sold on an exclusive-use only basis. It is set within Thornybush Game Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park in South Africa. The house includes 7 vehicles, 9 swimming pools, padel & pickleball courts, a Technogym, a full thermal spa, a photographic studio, home cinema, 10 picturesque dining spots, and a dedicated team of 45 staff. The house is directly situated on the bank of the largest dam in the reserve - a principle watering hole for wildlife which can be viewed from one of the many overhanging decks. Kubili House operates sustainably using solar, gas and geothermal energy, with geothermal systems providing heating and cooling throughout the property, including underfloor climate control and heated pools.
Big 5 game drives, photography workshops, helicopter trips to Blyde River Canyon, safari camp-outs, archery, fitness & wellness, and patrols with the anti-poaching units, are just some of the activities available to guests.
WHEN TO GO
Kubili House is a year round destination. Winter months run from May – August where the temperatures can drop and mornings and evenings are cold. Rainy season is around January and February.
ACCOMMODATION
Kubili House sleeps up to 14 guests in 7 large bedroom suites, and can take 12 people on game drives.
GETTING THERE
Scheduled flights to Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport depart twice daily from Johannesburg — from there a 40min road transfer / game drive to Kubili House. Or guests can charter a flight direct to the Thornybush Airstrip, where you are collected in an open game viewer and transferred to Kubili House.
